Stakeholder drift happens when we’re busy.

We don’t neglect relationships because we don’t care. We neglect them because we’re busy.

Deadlines. Deliverables.

And that project that just. won’t. close.

They take over the calendar and squeeze out the relationship work.

Which is ironic, really. Because it’s the relationships that grease the skids of those deadlines, deliverables and perpetual projects.

Solid stakeholder relationships don’t happen by accident. But they also don’t require massive amounts of time.

Small, intentional actions go a long way. Two minutes is all it takes to show someone that they matter.

Here are three micro-moves to feed and water a relationship that matters.

✔️ Send a voice note instead of a text

✔️ Ask, “If I could make your next month easier - what would that look like?

✔️ Forward something useful with a quick, “Thought of you”

It’s possible that the 10 minutes you invest today in three stakeholder relationships could be the most leveraged work you do all week.
