When I used to be a lawyer, my Dad (then a senior partner) used to warn me about it. "The first Monday back can be terrible" .....
He was right.
Holiday whiplash is real.
Add fresh expectations, shiny objectives and a chorus of experts telling you to plan your best year ever... WHAT, you mean you haven't done that yet?!? You didn't plan out four colour-coded quarters of uber-productivity??
Who would have thought that a holiday would leave you feeling guilty.
Re-entry to work can feel like you're jumping into the driver's seat of a moving car. Awkward. Uncoordinated. Bruising.
If this doesn't resonate... scroll on... but if it does:
What if you gave yourself permission to ease into the year?
Not drifting. Not slacking. Instead, a deliberate warm-up lap.
What would that look like for you?
The race is long. Starting strong doesn't mean starting fast.
