Trust is not just something that you earn, it's something that you give.
And that requires risk.. more specifically, it requires vulnerability. Trust building can be hastened by small, deliberate acts of vulnerability. Each of these acts is a 'micro-risk' which, if reciprocated, builds trust.
Each moment of vulnerability is a test for the other to respond in kind. If they reciprocate, trust deepens.
Had a wonderful discussion with Sarah Blackie on this and more at the World Commerce & Contracting in our session on Trust Blind Spots.
Thanks for having us Sally Guyer, Tim Cummins and Else Bright
