According to Mel Schwartz, “a real conversation is an adventure into the unfamiliar where two people present their authentic self, unguarded and welcoming the uncertain.”
I love the references to “unguarded” and “welcoming the uncertain” - it captures the risk one takes when entering into genuine dialogue. It is indeed an adventure into the unfamiliar.
And it’s an adventure worth taking, particularly if you want:
innovation
trust
speed
closure
progress
Each of these points came up last week as part of an offsite for the leadership at Abletech, a team investing in the adventure of real conversations in 2024.
This was my first team day for the year - couldn’t have been a better team to work with!
